What is a radiator cover?

I currently have a sedan

I wanted to do a front grill conversion to a coupe grill.

I was told I need a radiator cover.

Is it #002 on this drawing?

Thanks!

yes...just make sure that you order the coupe cover because the one pictured is for the sedan

*btw...you might be able to swap someone for their cover*

Why do you need it? I have been running without one for months now. You don't need it.

I got the sedan cover because the RS grille has a big gap if you don't replace the radiator cover.
