Don't know of any sites... but look in hot rod sites or Jegs.com ...

I added header wrap to my exhaust manifold and my engine revs faster, cools my engine bay and incoming intake air.

Also added some near the exhaust pipe that runs along side the gas tank..... It prevents the gas from heating.

for $40 bucks a roll.. this is a great and cheap mod!

They have several brands to pick from... no idea of the differences though.

hey thanx guys well i found the website. I hope this might others. Thermo-Tec alot of cool stuff on there. but i think. I'm going to wrap my header and my intake and depending on how much i have my whole exhaust to the muffler. for two reasons one becuae i have no heatshield on my car anymore ( i took them off) and becuase my exhaust rattles on the underside of my car sometimes.

NOw how many layers do you put on?

Oh yeah, isn't it bad for the header since all that heat will shorten the life of it? I know the heat will transfer out of the car quicker...

You hit the nail right on the head. Header wrap will work - but it will work too well for some headers, specially the cheap ones. They weren't made to trap all of that heat in. This leads to premature failure, such as cracking.

Had a friend's car go up in flames when he dripped some oil on the hot header wraps. It also accelerates header rust. It it's for a street car, it ain't worth it.

You will also lose the warrenty on your parts if you choose to use the wrap. So if you wrap your header and it breaks, the company will not warrenty it anymore. I really don't think it is worth it either. For a cheap fix for your intake you can use ceramic coated primer and paint.

Ceramic headers will take the wrap better than the others. if you have new headers, you should break them in first before applying the wrap underwise they will crack... Even if u don't add the wrap you should still break in parts.. =D

this might sound dumb... but has anyone painted their header, kinda like u do with calipers using high heat paint? i know the appearance of a header goes bad after a while and to make it look presentable, would this work? or is this just a dumb idea? sorry... thought i'd ask...
