Talking Installed the leather steering wheel cover

When my 1987 BMW left me, the Civic was the replacement. I got over the white / green dials, I got over the console angled away from me, and I got over the gas cap on the driver's side instead of passenger. I got over the 53hp drop, but the one thing that bothered me to just a few days ago was the plastic steering wheel.

I bought the leather steering wheel cover for US$30 off eBay.

I just followed the included instructions. The holes didn't match up perfectly, so I just had to push the needle through with a coin where I needed some holes.

The look isn't spot on perfection, but it looks pretty good. I think if I did a better job on the install it would've been better. It gets kind of messy around the spokes, and it was hard to pull the thread tight when I was starting at the bottom.

However, the change in feel from the plastic wheel to the feel of leather is phenomenal. If you wanted to get all PETA on me you can say I'm weird, but it feels awesome. I may only have 115hp, but it sure feels faster now.

Feel free to ask questions.

I bought it from this same guy. It was US$10 shipped to Canada, on his auction it says US$8 for continental US shipping.
