the d17 is still cast aluminum... no special treatment whatsoever, so as for being stronger, i think not, its just about the same strength, with money, it could be strong
the only plus is that it has a longer stroke, so u get that .1 liter extra displacement

ive never heard that. Honda doesnt make a strong motor, or if they do ive never heard of it, like VW were the bottom end is all built or Nissan where they have a motor that just eats up boost and wants more. i could be wrong though.

Differences are numerous, but the internals are still made the same... cast crap. The tolerancing is a little tighter because manufacturing has gotten better, but the pistons and rods are still cast parts.

Looks like the same investment cast finish to me..... you don't forge a part and get a finish like that... you need to machine-finish forged parts.

We'll my bad. I guess it was just a rumor. Are there any forged kits for these D17s? Thanks and sorry for the mispost. I'll keep my mouth shut until I 'm sure.
