Injen CAI Installed
Injen CAI Installed
Just installed the Injen CAI today with my friend. We took the bumper off so we could see what we were doing, and believe me removing the bumper helped a lot. We did have to cut the battery holder and side panal in the tire well a bit to fit the pipes. Other then mounting the second piece with the bolt, nothing else was a major pain.
There isnt a noticable difference in sound for the lower RPMs, but at higher RPMs the thing roars. I've also got a Greddy Evo, and on the outside the sound is noticeable when reving up. Also, if you have a DC upper strut, the pipes fit with no problems. On the install though I suggest removing the left hand bolt to the actual strut bar so you can work with nothing in your way. DC made it easy because it just folds out to the right and you dont have to remove the entire bar. No really noticeable performance gains other then a small pickup, but any gain is good for our cars.
On a side note, instead of recieving a red filter, I recieved a blue one! Must have been destiny cuz I really like blue.
All in all, I believe my Injen CAI gets a two thumbs up.

good job on the install, looks a lot better having a chrome pipe under the hood than some hunk of crap plastic box...
How did he suck up water? Did he drive in water that was deeper than his tire? The only way is to totally submerge the filter, and you would have to be driving in flood lvl waters for that.

You can turn your Injen CAI into an SRI by removing the longer pipe and attaching the filter to the end of the shorter pipe! That's what I did, a while ago because it was going to rain the next day! We have big puddles where I live and didn't want to take a chance! Even though I have that AEM Bypass valve.

For real.. the injen cai is like 3 ft long for civics. He had to have been redlining it into a pond or something to hydrolock.
