What setup do you guys like?

Okay I'm contemplating a couple of things for my mazda here. The first scenario is that I buy an Injen CAI, which has dynoed results of 12-13 hp gains. Then I could get the OEM style cf hood. I hate being worried about hydrolock when it rains though. The second idea is to get this hood with a sri. I don't know about gains, but it's an idea, and looks kinda cool.

My car right now is still stock. But here's some pics: Click for pics

Maybe someone could photoshop a carbon fiber hood on there for me. I think it would look clean. I dunno...what do you guys think? Or should I just leave the stock hood?

man I would save the money you would pay for the hood and get a blow off valve, boost gauge, turbo timer, better inter-cooler, bigger turbo, or something along the lines of upgrading the turbo.

Well of course, but I'm thinking along the way I will eventually do something with the intake setup and possibly the hood. It's all part of my brain storm haha

And why is it that every time I post a topic regarding my mazda and not my honda in the general ramblings forum it gets moved everytime? It's getting really annoying. Putting this particular thread in products and parts is going to do nothing for it, because it's not CIVIC PARTS. Nobody cares there. Yet it's ok for people to post pics of lambos and ferraris. Makes no damn sense to me. I was asking what would be a better set up. Not about a specific part jesus...

oh well if you put it that way. If the scoop opens where the filter is then I would get it.

Um, don't get any hoods IMO. Also stick with the SRI if you want an intake, but I would do what Master suggested by getting stuff for the turbo. Don't follow my route of adding ricey things to it and later decide you don't like them anymore. Just spend the money on turbo timer and that sort of stuff.

So you added a cf hood and didn't like it later?

Do the CAI and maybe a cat back if you dont have one. That sould put out good gains. If you do have a cat back already, maybe an aftermarket turbo manifold. Manifolds usually show a nice gane on turbo cars.
