I've been using this stuff ever since it came out back in 94. I've had no problems with using it on my 83 Toyota pick-up, my 89 Civic Si, and my 2001 Civic. I use a paper towel to apply it to my windshield, spread it out evenly on the glass and let it dry to a haze. After it dries, I sprinkle a little bit of water on it and wipe off. Personally I think this is one of the better products for detailing cars.

Never ever use rain X.

I will never put it on a car again.

You can't get rid of that ****. ever since I applied it once 2 years ago the windshield wipers leave a haze instead of squeegeeing the windshield clean. I've changed wiper blades and use washer fluid with teflon in it and it still persists. It is quite dangerous really.

out of 32 posts, i think you're the only one to bash it. You probably put it on wrong.

The only thing I have never liked aboot RainX is the way it makes TINY beads of water on the window when there is a misty rain... and you have to wiper it alot to be able to see.

Aside from that I like it, esp when its raining nicely out. Keeps things extra clear. And if Im on the highway I almost dont need wipers at times.

My problem is more with the fogging up on the inside of the windows.
Just wondering, do you have to empty your wiper fluid tank before filling it with the RainX wiper fluid version, or can I just mix them.

As for the fogging up problem, Rain X has another product called RainX anti fog

I don't see any reason why you can't mix them... but it will dilute it's properties. You might as well just spray the windshield washer fluid till it's gone and then fill it up with the new stuff.

great thanks, although I think I will mix them, after all, they pretty much do the same thing. Also, is this teflon wiper good?I keep reading this brand many times, maybe I should give it a try because it rains a lot in here and I can't see ****
