and it's highly not recommened to use aftermarket atf on our tranny, according to honda, the honda atf has a special stuff in there that other atf don't got, i got this from a friend who is a hondatech at the local honda dealership..

atf - must be honda
oil - any
power steering - any that is specialized for honda
coolant - any
brake - any long as it's not fot5, or dot4, if it's abs

i use
honda atf
amsoil 10w-30
gunk honda powersteering
honda coolant
valvaline abs brake fluid "exceed dot 3 and dot 4 specifications"

Of course he says that. It's a Honda product. They want to make money. There is no such thing as specially formulated for Hondas and only we make it.

but some how, when i ask him about everything else, it's okay?

i was just suggesting, that's what he told me, and i am going to believe him because he has helped me out pick out fluids, and help me on many other things, and i know he won't bs me like other honda techs

edit: if they wanted to make money, he would've told me to use honda coolant, honda oil and honda brake fluid too, it saids must use all honda fluids in alldata, and he was the one told me all the other stuff are okay aftermarket, but atf must be honda atf

thats not true, the tranny in all honda's are very picky about the tranny fluid they use. it MUST be honda brand fluid. i made the mistake of putting synthetic tranny fluid in my old accord thinking it'll be better. nope. 3 months later, my tranny went bye bye. do yourself the favor and use honda brand tranny fluid. you dont want to buy a new tranny.
