I've seen a few members that have carbon fiber hoods with the sides painted to match the car. I searched, but I can't find any company that sells hoods like this. Are they all custom jobs?

ya they are more than likely custom. if i drove anythign other than a black car, i would paint it. i think it looks so nice.

yes, they dont come painted. you have to take them to a paint shop. Shouldnt cost you but like 100-150 the most. I have mine painted, check it out.

I would do that, but I have a tendency to not trust shops. I'd be worried about where the lines would be... How'd you decide the positioning of the lines?

any pictures? i've seen at some shop online they have a choice of a few different color carbon fiber hoods, regular black, blue, yellow, red, etc...

We are talking about painting the cf hoods. You have to talk to the people who own the paint shop and discus how you want it. I had them paint it where the lines matched up with the bumper of the car so it look smooth and clean. Some people follow the lines of the hood but it looks throwed off.

it fat when you have say a wt car (like mine ) cf hoodn grill then paint the sides white to follow they sexxy lines of the civic i love it that is deffinately whatt i woud doimp:
