hid conversion

which HID conversion kits are good choices, i've heard catz are among the best but everywhere i've looked they're sold out and any place that has em are over $650, i know nsx and s2000 guys use SpeedOfScience hid's and say they're the best but they dont make a H4 kit, so whats good and where can i find em?

www.hidfourms.com

most people use orsam or phillips bulbs,

i think hid conversion should not be done on the factory delectors, since it's not designed for hid, and it will give the people front of you glare city, but that's just me, a couple people have brought hids and put it into their car

others are buying aftermarket projectors and putting hid into that

and there are the few that travel down the right way -> buy the projector housings, buy hid projectors, and retrofit them into the projector housing

there are a couple threads about these
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...hid+conversion
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...hid+conversion

personally, i've been down the projector path, and it sucks

the bluer ones are from my car, and the yellow ones are from my frined's celica, same kit, different projectors (me, tyc projectors; him, hella 90mm) and different color temp (me, 5500k; him, 4500k)

so instead, i am now waiting for a set of rs6 projectors to arrive, and retrofit them into my car
http://i20.ebayimg.com/03/i/00/d0/c1/42_1.JPG

so the point is, if you want to do it right, you should get projectors, and retrofit true hid projector and true hids into them

yeah... but it would be a lot more work...

just look HERE and then look under the customer gallery... basically.. you'd have to break out the dremel and cut you factory housings just big enough to fit the HID projector in there and seal it right... and get the best cutoff..

The main thing to look out for in HID kits are quality ballasts and CLEAR bulbs. Tinted bulbs put out less light and tend to be of lower quality. PM me if you are interested in a H4 kit.
