If it's that low, there is a reason for it. I'd say there is either something wrong with it or it's not what he is saying.

I don't think he's properly representing that engine. I don't believe an automatic K20A even exists. It looks to me that it's a K20A3 from a base model RSX.

actually, there is already an NA k20a civic out there. its was in the nopi mag i saw while browsing at wal-mart the other day. it was grey and orange, if that helps. some company ovned it. also, there was an article on an si with the k20a in it in the new import tuner. and it was NA. oh, and correct me if i am wrong, but the tag on the rsx-s says 2.0L DOHC under the i-Vtec. i also believe that there are some other writing under the i-vtec on the type-r as well.

It's the SVE Image Works civic. But it's a manual transmission. not an automatic. I got to sit in it at NOPI. I met the guys who built it.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION RSX:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2437613725

I highly doubt that every chic I see driving an RSX knows how to handle stick shift.
Not being sexist. I just figure it's something that would be tough to drive on a daily basis for girls. And it wouldn't be very appealing to most chics, unless they like driving

besides, how would they be able to put their makeup on if they steering and shifting the ****? lease:

I saw this yesterday actually and I knew it couldn't have been a real JDM K20A. The valve cover looks like an A2 or A3 since it isn't red. I emailed the seller and he got back to me just re stating what it said in the auction. He just said this "This only says K20A. It was imported directly from Japan.

Thank you,
Dave"

It definitely isn't a real k20A though

dude, that is a totally sexist comment. "not being sexist" ....PLEASE.....lol What isn't sexist about that?

I see plenty of girls driving stick. Not all girls are the ditzy valley girl. Why do guys always have to pigeon hole them like that?

No offense but why not just buy an RSX TYPE S?? i mean several key Mags have reported the gains doing a K20A swap into a CIVIC have been less then impressive. Also if you take into consideration that the price of your car, the engine, and the intall could total to what you would pay for an RSX TYPE S which i paid only 21,500 for mines. I mean if you really want the swap then cool but its a waste of money, yeah it looks cool but whats the point even with that engine swap you couldnt beat an RSX TYPE S, PRELUDE nor a 175 nissan SER. Hell from what several mags reported the gains in some cases were so low you couldnt even beat a RSX BASE but its your call

Also i support FLYRICER on that note, NOT TRYING TO BE SEXIEST??? thats like saying you support the KKK but you're not trying to be racist. Dude its obvious you are a sexiest dont try to sugar coat it with BULL SH*T saying you arent its obvious. A girl can drive anything a man can i thought that was proven with that lady drag racer but its obvious your brain doesnt comprehend things so allow me to tell you, you really need to grow up and just because girls turn you down and you have no GF that doesnt mean you have to come in here and act superior, hell im surprised you could even type but wait isnt that something a girl should be doing???? typical guy

Doesn't look like a real K20...PLUS there is no harness or much of anything else......not worth it IMO. If you really want a swap, don't do it half assed, do it the right way - which means that its going to cost $$.

once again like i said before whats the point of swapping a k20 into a civic when it doesnt do much for the car anyway, with all the money you spend for the damn swap you could just buy a RSX TYPE S and call it a day. Man only ricers who dont think would even consider such a swap. If you're going to swap go big or go home, swapping a K20 into a Civic which in no way shape or form is even designed to handle the TQ and HP of a K20 engine, plus it will be even more front heavy thus causing you to lose grip when turning. Why do you think they take parts from the RSX and put them onto Civics??? and not the reverse?? because the RSX is by far a better car in all aspects adding a engine that gets you 200 HP and 142 TQ wont yield you the same gains in a CIVIC i dont care how good the swap is the car will under perform and will be a waste of time and money. sure bragging rights might be nice "hey i have a K20 in my civic" but in the long run your civic wont be able to even hold its own with a stock RSX TYPE S nor a PRELUDE so really whats the point hmmmm i guess ricers will always be ricers

If I remember correctly, the JDM intake manifold covers do not say "2.0L DOHC" under the "i-VTEC", it just says "DOHC" under the "i-VTEC". Also, JDM engine codes do not have numbers at the end like K20A2 or K20A3. . . it's just simply K20A. So, the K20A isn't necessarily the Type R engine.

Wow, for 32 posts you sure know a lot!

Since when is upgrading to a K20 considered "rice?" Guess that's new to me.....I know that I, as well as about 95% of the other members on this board would give their right nut to have the funds available to do a swap - the performance is freakin' amazing! You make it sound like its a tank or something.....

opto no offense but i never said doing swaps was considered ricer, i said doing a swap that yields no real power gains is rice like. Hell you could add a turbo and get higher gains then you would by doing a K20 swap. Next time you really should do some research before you open your mouth and start shooting off. Im not dissing anyone on this site, its obvious i love Hondas and Acuras, im only stating that i think it would be more benetficial to just buy a RSX TYPE S then to spend the extact amount doing a swap plus the price of the car to get a Car that still performs under a RSX TYPE S. Also on your tank comment, when it comes to gaining HP and TQ besides the obvious factors that hurt performance, wieght is one of the biggest problems when it comes to gains in the 1/4. A Civic with a K20 swap like i said would not out perform a RSX TYPE S hell it wouldnt even outperform a CIVIC SI considering the wieght gain from the the engine as well as adding other engine parts to complete the swap. Im not trying to diss anyone on these boards im just stating facts when it comes to the situation, and the facts are a K20 swap would be a waste of time and money and if you had the money to do the swap then you have the money to get an RSX TYPE S with 200 HP and 142 TQ stock
