its a siebon hood.simialir to the ViS hood. Except for a diffrent scoop style. also i have heard to many nightmares about ViS so thats why i didnt get there hood.
So how is the quality and does it resist impact???
My friend's hood is pretty strong. He like pushes down on it and it just flexes. I have seen other hoods that start to crack or peel.

I'll be honest and say I don't like it. Don't get me wrong, it looks like it's top quality, but the scoop makes it look like you've got something under there you need room for. So if you're not putting it on there for clearance issues, it's like padding your bra.

The reverse vented hoods are the most functional hoods you can buy. They're actually more functional then the Kaminari ram-air hoods.

Seeing as how our cars suck their air from under the car the reverse vented hood isn't gonna help you at all. The Kaminari hood isn't a functional ram-air hood anyways(there is no hole at the end of that big scoop).

thats fne like it or not. as far as putting a reverse vent hood on to clear something, thats not a wise idea there is accualy less room under the hood with the reverse vent. i had to modifie my cai to clear it. as fare as function, its lighter tha stock, i like how it looks, and since i live in the desert it helps the car cool down faster since all the hot air just belows out of that big ol vent. so in a way it is adding to the performance of the car.... all the hot air rises up thre the vent and that leavses cooler air for my cai to suck in, it also creats more air circulation under the hood which is not a bad thing....
o yea did i mention it looks bad as hell in person?lol

So like I said... the reverse vented hoods are probably the most functional for our cars.

I wanna see your science degree and study that you did on your "theory".
You even saw him say that there is less room under the hood. Less room = less air space = hotter engine bay. So basically all of that "supposed" air cooling that you just got went to waste cooling the hot air that you created by getting the vented hood in the first place!

You don't cool hot air... hot air is expelled through the vent. If air is constantly flowing through the engine bay, then the new air being introduced is obviously going to push the hot air out. You don't need a science degree to figure that out.
