I got a 2003 Civic DX, and I was disappointed to find that there was no tach... okay I was pissed, but yea... I want to keep the stock look, I know it probably be easy to go buy an Auto-Meter, but does anyone know if the LX/EX Cluster would fit in the DX? And if so... how much? Alright man... The only thing difficult about this is FINDING a 2003 LX cluster. You'll want an LX because it doesn't have ABS like the EX. It doesn't matter much but it'll be annoying (to me anyways) to have the abs light on all the time. Also a 2001-2002 cluster gauge won't work either. I put in a 2001 LX in my 2002 DX and it works beautifully.

I found an Si Cluster 03 on Ebay... But does anyone knows if that would fit in a regular Civic? I hope it does.

it's easy stuff man. A handful of owners here have done the gauge swap already including me.

Just the main thing you want to worry about is finding a 2003 gauge cluster (yes, try ebay) with MORE miles than your car currently has. You DON'T want mismatching mileages.

When you get a cluster with more miles, just wait until your car's mileage matches up to the swapcluster you bought. Once the cluster in your car matches the mileage of the swapcluster you bought, then you should switch them.

Installing is a piece of cake. If you've ever used a screw driver, then you're already halfway finished. Most of the project is just removing Philipshead scews and taken off the panel that the screw was holding in place.

The cluster is easy to take out also. It has wires that plug in along the top. This is why you need to find a 2003 cluster! The wires won't won't fit the sockets of 2001 and 2002 clusters.


AND one last thing. It doesn't matter if you buy an EX or an LX cluster. The ABS light in the EX cluster will always light up, but to solve this, cut a small piece of electrical tape, and cover the hole that the 'ABS' bulb is in. Easy problem solver.

I'm pretty sure it wont, not without modification. The shape is different, the sockets won't match up to 7th gen wire harnesses.

I have a 2001 DX. You can use 2001 and 2002 clusters. You can't use the 2003 (and probably 2004 as too) because the 2003 cluster was redesigned.

Dude, That Suxs, What Even Suxs More. For 2004 Honda is Ditching The DX Model For the Coupe and is Only Offering 5-speed manual Transmission on 2004 Honda Civic DX Sedan. You'd Think Since Honda is a Good Car Company That they Would Offer a Tachometer on the Base Civic DX. plus A Lot of Young Kids Would Purchase The Civic DX Models, Now For 2004 They are only Offered a 2004 Honda Dx Sedan With 5-speed only.

yeah, time to find a gauge cluster. looks like e-bay is gonna be outa the question seeing that lots of peeps are probly looking right now,lol.

I have the Canadian 2003 DX and comes with the old 2002 style LX cluster with tach. See if you can ask the dealership to get you something like that
