HID's in Halo/Angel eye projectors
HID's in Halo/Angel eye projectors
Alright, I've been searching and still havnt found answers to a few of my questions.
1. I've read that in order to fit HID bulbs in your Halo (not tyc) projectors you have to cut out some of the housing in order for the "rod" to fit. What exactly do you have to cut out or do in order for them to fit? (pics?)
2. What type of machine/tool do you guys use to cut out stuff from the headlight housing to make the h1 hid bulb fit in there? (pics?)
3. Does ANYONE have pics of HID in their HALO (not tyc) projectors? If so, can you please post pics of the BEAM PATTERN? Not a picture of how bright the bulb is, but how the beam pattern is on the ground at night? Please post pics.
I really love the way the halo projectors look on my car, but the lighting isnt as great as I would like it to be. They're decent for the most part, only problem I really have is when its raining, you cant see the light on the ground at all. So, if theres anyone out there that can help me out, id really appreciate it, thanks!.

Hmm, 745li and still cant see much? Well, all I know is that its still gotta be better than my stock light output from my halo projectors, lol. Anyone else might have answers to my q's?

I have HID's in my angel eyes, they do make a huge difference. I know I love them. my last car I put them in and when I got this civic and the angel eye projectors, the lighting really sucked. So I bought some H1 HID's for it. Yes you have to make the bulb opening alittle bit bigger. What I did was take the light off. I used a drill bit and opened the hole up. You can use a small grinder to open the hole. You got to be careful not to apply to much pressure pushing down and up cause you can pop the screws from their socket that make the headlight adjust. But yes it can be done and it makes a world of difference with them in and on at night.

. Was it really time consuming installing the HID's and modifying the angel headlights? Or was it failrly easy? Also, whats the temp of the HID's that you are using? Any pics?
