Needle activity after Indiglo gauges install

Just got done putting in glow gauges and they look pretty bangin, but of course I had to take the needles off to do it and of course now they dont do they're job so good.. my tach seems pretty accurate, gas and thermostat we'll see, its the spedometer that seems to slow down when I desellerate, like when i roll up to a stop sign im going around 20 for most of the way until I completely stop. So whats a good way to try and get the needles back to as normal as possible? Thanks. And yes I do know how to search but I really didn't see anything about this specific problem.

Why did you take them off. I didn't have to take mine off.

Check if the needles are rubbin against the gauge face... I had to tape the face down onto the stock gauge to get the needles movin at the correct speed and not get caught up.

what you can do is take it to a racing shop, they have a way of getting the needles to work properly. Mine did that too, at 50 mph the needle stuck there and flickered around. When I went to a shop it took him 5 min and ever since they have worked fine. Usually it has to do with something needing to be tightened.

you wont have to buy a new cluster, like I said go to a racing shop and have them work on it for you, but if it comes down to it look on ebay for a cluster for our car.

well after driving around for the day the needles do work fine, i think my spedometer is a little off but no biggie, but how in the hell could you do this without taking them off?? the hole for the gauges was so small no way could it fit over top.. my god it was impossible but i tried for an hour to get it on around the needles' base.

Streetglower: thanks for the info, I'm gonna start calling around after my friend takes a look at it

I know what you are saying, I had to use some elbow grease to get mine over the needles. They are on now and they look sick. A buddy of mine took his needles off and ended up breaking them, so i learned from him NOT to take the needles off. Not sure how much it cost him to get them replaced of if he got a new gauge cluster.
