looks like a good idea but how are we supposed to get our piping out there??...there would be too many bends causing restriction so i dont think it would be worth it...i would like to see someone try it though

Just get an Injen CAI... the filter sits right behind the bumper. Perfect if you have an aftermarket front bumper.

That intake is coming straight off the turbo thats why it is right in front like that.

thats a 350z right? if so i bet they have way more space in the same area than 7th gen civics do, and a turbo in a civic sits different than it would on a 350z, the exhaust side faces to the front of the car where as in a civic it faces to the driverside...or you could just get e front mount intake.

I have seen a few things on line that would let you change your CAI into a ram air like that but I think there is still too much piping..

Actually, the 350Z has almost no room in the engine bay, it took a lot of time and effort for them to turbo the 350, this is one of the reasons Nissmo still has not come out with a turbo for the Z, because they want it to be CARB legal.

a example of this would be AROSPEED COLD FRONT MOUNT INTAKE its the same concept pretty much but still too much piping..you can find it at jcwhitney.com..
