(damnit I just posted this and there was some kind of error so I get to retype it
)
lets see, how did I just explain it.....
Ever since I got my Octane front my wheel wells have been getting new *** hols ripped for them. I have since taken it back to Honda and they replaced the wheel wells and put in some screws so stop it from flapping like it had been. They did it for free. Since I have had more problems that I will just let the pics explin since I already typed this once!
drivers side wheel well, notice how the screws were ripped out and no longer doing any good. I think this hole is from the mesh inside the bumper on the side
this is the passenger side and I can not figure out how its happing. the screwsare still in place, and there is no mesh on the other side of this part. this is where I could realy use some tips or advice.
if these pics are not good enuf I can go take more
thanks in advance!

seems to me that since your bumper is screwed into the wheel wells, whenever stress is put on the bumper from wind, driving, etc. and the bumper moves and flexes its causing the wheel wells to do the same. the screws are just ripping out of the wells, because they cant move the way the bumper is. hope that helps
shouldn't the wheel well flaps be attached under the bumper? it looks like they were attached on top of them closer to the tire's. I could be completely wrong, but from the pictures thats what it looks like, like they aren't tucked

i had the same problem when I got my front bumper put on. i had mine destroyed after they forgot to bolt a couple key screws back on. it doesnt cost much to get them custom fit, mine was around $200 but the shop that forgot to to screw them back on paid another shop for the work.
That's why i'm keeping my ride on stock suspension. Even with stock wheels, I scrape on the top of the wheel wells just like that on my way to school. I have 18s on with 225/40s (slightly larger than recommended; but it reduces bumps) and I have to slow down when I'm approaching that dip in the highway.
I saw one day that the black plastic clip/pushbutton thing above that screw area was rubbed to death. The top of it wasn't even there anymore, so I couldn't pull it out. I had to jam it in and then I peeled the wheel well to get it from the inside the bumper where it dropped.

everything's expensive from the dealers. I went to a junkyard that said they had a 7th gen, expecting that it had a lot of good parts. But when I got there it was stripped to the frame, and have to have been sitting out in the lot for a year. All I left with were a ton of screws, and those bumper clips. Figure I'd keep them for spares because when I tried taking one off during spring, the tab broke off. I had to push that one through the wheel well as well.
Well, a fix to this would be go to any auto parts store and buy some hard break or oil line. The type that is like metal tubbing. Take it and cut it to lengths that go from the front of the bumper to yoru frame rail. Then take a vice and smush the ends to make them flat and drill holes in the ends. Screw one end to your bumper and the other to your frame. It will stop your bumper from flexing back, and it looks pretty clean when doen right. Usually do four of them, one on each corner area, and two in the middle are of it.. just space them out.
Good luck

same thing happened to mines except mines are much worse, it looks mad ugly when you look inside there, I wanna know wut to do to. Do you know how much each side cost from the dealer, someone told me $25 a side, is that true?
