Magnaflow Catback Exhaust Owners: Please Read

I have read the threads about them, and they get pretty good reviews and espcially for the price. Ive heard the exhaust clip but computer exhaust clips dont tell me much.

Ive heard this catback scrapes alot...Im lowered on Tein SS with about 2 finger gap all the way around, a little less in front. Will I scrape bad?

Im thinking the is the best exhaust for the money $319 from www.hottexhaust.com. Does anyone know a better place or even a better exhaust for the money? Im looking for a decent price and a deep- not too loud sound.

Thanks.

ELi

I have the magnaflow cat back exhaust and my car is lowered 1.5", maybe a little lower now that it has settled. I have only scraped twice, both times were going from a flat surface to a VERY steep angle.

So low that I shouldnt get it? What else do yall suggest? I like the Magnaflow because its not too loud, its deep, and its not overpriced like the others.
Any ideas?

HomerSimpson was telling me just to put the UBOLTS in sideways and it would get rid of the scraping issue.

I am planning on doing the install myself- can anyone verify this and explain what that means and how to do it?

The muffler itself scrapes! I'm just keeping my muffler till it falls off probably get apex n1 or Fireball muffler when I scrape the sh@t out of the magnaflow catback. It's a good buy for that price and It is not too loud just the right sound on higher rpms

I'm getting a different Magnaflow muffler soon, just the muffler itself. Then I'll bring it to the shop to get custom piping done. I would get the Magnaflow system, but I also believe that the muffler is too friggin big! It hangs very low. I met a guy with his civic at stock height, and he said he'll scrape from time to time.

Yeah, I have it and I've noticed that the U-bolts - I'll explain in a sec - scrape kinda bad, so I'm looking into getting the pipe welded, which others here have done.

Basically the pipe come in sections, and is secured together by long U-shaped bolts, and there's a clip that clamps down around the pipe to hold it together, and that's what scrapes the worst - the exhaust can itself scrapes also, but not as much as those bolts, since they're right in the center of the car.

Other than that though the exhaust is hella nice, sounds great, gives great upper range power and I highly reccomend it
