Supposedly SRM has the most dyno proven gain, althogh not much.
I wouldn't get Hyper, I would go with Super or wait couple months and get Ultra.

The Tanabe RSpec exhaust provides the best gain in torque and HP even tho thats minimal every little helps lol. I have it and its really a great system and its deep. Well within your price range

I don't think transmission will affect the exhaust; however, I know that if you have automatic, you shouldn't go with any exhaust with big rear sections.
Tanabe does make SRM for LX, that's what mine is.

No, well I believe EX and LX is the same except you'll need an extension pipe for LX because of where the catylist is placed.

Check this site, notice in the description it says it will fit LX but need "the part number," which is the extension pipe.

I believe ptuning should be fine since they have banners in this site.
AFS sells Tanabe SRM for $450 shipped.

DC Sports TCS is a great system. Nice sound. I decided to go with the TCS because of the group buy going on at the time. The ones I was looking at before were the buddy club spec 3 and the tanbe racing.
