eyelid
hey g_50b:
sorry I never got back to you but i never even got your PM. I don't know when you PM'd
me but a while back I had PM's disabled so people couldn't get to me.
But either way, to answer your question those eyelids on my car are just vinyl that I had left over from my visor. In order to shape them to the curves of the headlight it takes a heatgun and a little patience. first, cut the shape you want, wet the headlight, peel the vinyl, wet both sides of it, place it on the headlight and as you pull evenly, push out any air bubbles with a credit card...you can use a library card if you don't have credit..=} and then using the heat gun and still pulling on the outer edges of them, you'll see that the vinyl will start to 'give a little and you can lay it right over the bump of the turn signal light. then just bend it over the edges, cut off the excess and wipe the headlight dry.
the advantages of using vinyl are: it is practically free, just vinyl, you can shape it to cover more or less of the headlight, you can take them off within seconds, on a hot day and do them over for a new look within 15 min. best off all, you can have eyelids that no one else has.
imp:
if you got any other Q's let me know. my PM should work now...

i am experimenting them using aluminum and wrapped in fiberglass. I started with just plan aluminum trim eyelid, but they look too thin for me. doesn't seem to have the texture, so i gonna try to wrap those in fiberglass and see..
