my clutch only has to move about 2-3 inches...i think it's in the cable that runs to the hydrloc silonoid, it depends on the guy whom assembled your honda...i think it's adjustable.....
it can usually be adjusted, take it to a dealership and they can do it for u, when i bought my car they adjusted it for me. i still have to have it all the way down to start it but shifting is aobut 1/4 way down

ya know thats bad for the clutch and the gear syncros if your not engaging the clutch all the way, if can lead to long run problems with the transmission..... I'm pretty sure...
if your clutch is engaged at all you will usually be able to shift smoothly. if you downshift from a high rev in 4th to 3rd, thus causing u to redline u will begin deterioration of your synchro.
everyone gets a gear grind occasionaly so thats not gonna make huge problems either

No cable. Otherwise it would be a cable clutch. Honda hasn't used them since the early 90's.
As far as adjusting??? I have no clue. I was under the impression you couldn't. Maybe if you add more fluid or there is some way to increase the pressure, but I'm not aware of it.

It is adjustable. But not sure if it's possible on our cars. My brother had his Del Sol changed. I think he said the mechanic played around with 2 screws by the clutch pedal..... the clutch point is lower and total clutch pedal travel is less.
