are you talking about that "HELIX TOWER" thing? check the marketplace and retail sales ... there's a Helix Tower thing that goes between the engine and the throttle body which is suppose to give more HP.

It just adds about 1.0" between your intake and throttle body.

It makes the air enter in some sort of spiral form. In the end you get SLIGHTLY better gas mpg, and 1-3awhp. Plus a "pssssssssst" sound when you release the gas....like a minor supercharger.

Isn't that what the Tornado is suppose to do? make the air enter in some sort of spiral form? Why then is the spacer better than the Tornado?

The tornado is a piece of crap. It actually RESTRICTS air coming into your intake. The helix power TB spacer MIGHT work. Its been around in the truck scene for a while now. The only thing I could find doing a search on the net is that for carburated vehichles it actually works - because it has the effect of increasing runner length (and mixing the air and fuel better). But for fuel injected cars, I'm not so sure, since the fuel is injected right into the cylinder (and the TB sits aways from the head). It may have the same effect as increasing runner length, but I doubt that it actually mixes fuel better. You may gain 1-2 horses at low end....

Exactly, I think that if it was for a car that has a carburetor then it works it makes senses but in a fuel injection system like you said the fuel is injected right into the cylinder.

I personally don't think it will work but if it does I would love to see the dyno numbers.

No.....doesn't the tornado have those blades? TBS doesn't have blades.... the edges is the engineering here.

But anyway, you all shouldn't think about this product as a "hp" item..... more like a gas mileage "improver".

Um, is it possible for something to increase hp and mileage?

Anyone know how much these cost? And be sure to post those dyno results!!

yup the helix one is taller and has a texture on the inside that is supposed to make the air twist.

Freeing up air-flow will increase gas mileage and hp.
