Battery Problems

My car wasn't starting anymore and I took it to a dealership. Apparently they've seen a few vics with defective batterys. So much for Honda quality control if this little local shop has seen a FEW of these. Anyways it was still under coverage.

I think our OEM batteries basically suck, I was thinking of getting an Optima to replace it, but I don't know if they make one that is a direct fit for a 7th gen. Any ideas? Is it worth it to spend that much on an Optima when my OEM is still good (for now)?

Since I got my 7th gen in 2000, the battery held up pretty well. I've jumpstarted a few friends rides and even left my domelight on overnight, but it still started up well. I left my hazards on for a few hours and the battery drained, but after a jump from another friend, I drove around an hour&half and the car started great the next morning. My oem battery died just weeks ago, after completing my power windows DIY (I just couldn't stop playing with my windows while the engine was off). I replaced it with an autozone battery that has just a little more starting power.

i was thinking it had to do something with the underdrive pulleys with mine.couple of times i had to jump the battery but had no idea why it happened. well the other day i just found out that my turbo timer can read voltage.i idled the car with the a/c on and it dropped from 13.3v to 11.80v.that instantly told me every time i leave my car on to play music its draining straight from my battery.
