Blue Mirrors
I want to make my mirrors blue and I was wondering if anyone has done this to there car and by chance know where to get the film or tint at. My friends dad has an M3 and they bimmers come with mirrors that are blue and they look sharp. Hope there is someone that can help me out!!
I thought about that too.
But on the bimmer the glass is probably acctually blue as apposed to being tinted.
But do you think tint can stand up to the weather? Tint goes on the inside remember.
Peace

You are correct sir, tint is meant to be used on the inside of glass, not oustide exposed to the elements. If you do decide to go with tint, be prepared to see it either peel off or start to crack.

Actually, tint is very resistant and actually very clear when applied properly.
I had my rearviews tinted red to match the rear tails (*when you'd look at the car
from the rear all you saw was red) and I never had any problems with it. I wanted light blue tint too like the audi's but the tint shop's blue was too dark so I went with red. They told me they had never done it on the rearviews of a car and wouldn't warrenty it but I told them I wanted it anyway and they did them both for $5. It was great.
I can pm pic to anyone that is interested in seeing what they looked like.

red rearviews
here you go,
I had these on my car for about 6 months during the summer with no problems.
You do get a red hue that takes a couple days to get used to but other than that
they do not obstruct your view day or night. I got them put on for $5 at my tint shop
they said no one had ever ask for their rears tinted so I guess I was the first!
