Ok first of all I have searched and have visited many different manufacturer's websites but I am looking for some help as an alarm newbie.

I want the following options:
Pager system
Remote with trunk release (don't need/want auto start)
Plenty of shock sensors
passive alarm
and anything else that is a MUST HAVE on an alarm system

i found this and this is kind of the price range i am looking at LINKY

Can anyone tell me what is a quality system to have at a reasonable price? I am going to college and will be parking my car there so I definitely need an alarm.

Clifford Matrix RS3. You'll find it between $500-$600, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

either the clifford matrix rs3, viper 790xv, or python 880xp. these 3 alarms ARE THE SAME. the only difference in them is the name. they are all made by the same company, which is DEI. go to www.directed.com for more info.

the most expensive out of the 3 is clifford because of its name. the viper is 100-200 bucks cheaper and the python is about 100 bucks cheaper than the viper.

i have the viper 790xv and i love it!

i have the python and its awsome. BE SURE YOU GET A MOTION SENSOR they are awsome. also, I believe that you can add trunk pop, window down, sunroof open, etc to any alarm. I think you can add the pager to some as well, tho some do come with it
