..... because today i fill it up @ Chevron for 13.53 Gallons and it's not even empty yetabout 1/8 tank .............. i thought our gas tank only about 13.2 gallons?????

Wow, it's that big? I only fill it up to about 11 gallons (in fact, I just filled it up today). It's odd because I get 400 miles (most of them highway) off of it.

This might not be the cause, but maybe the meter at that gas pump is messed up?

Maybe its not "messed up" but maybe they rigged it so it says you're pumping more gas than you really are so they charge you more. I would look into this further and see if you could bust the gas station for fraud.

What he just said may be right.

But, you never said if you topped it off or not (never do that again if you did). Cuz that could be the reason for fitting more that 13.2 gallons in the tank, but you would have had to top that tank off to the point of overflow.

If you kept your receipt you should go back to the gas station and see if they are ripping you off.

thats odd. whenever my gas light comes on and the meter reads below Empty and i fill it, i only need about 10.5 gallons. can you really go about 3 gallons past the E and gas light?

I've always wondered if the gas pumps could be lying. . If you took a gallon container and filled it up with gas, would the pump say exactly 1.0000 gallons and would the price be right where it should be? It could all be tainted with corruption. Furthermore, how do you know your container is 1 gallon. . What if the person that made the container works for the pump makers and they are all in on the conspiracy? Hehe. .
