Throttle Body
I want to get my throttle body bored out, but I cant afford to take mine off the car and send it out, so I'm just going to buy another one and have that one bored out. I need my car everyday so this is only choice I got. Well I found one, but the guy says he's not sure if it will fit 2003 EX. He says it came off '01 EX. I attached the pic's for those of you who know how the look so please let me know is this the correct TB ? Thanks
And this is what he wrote..
Ok, The part number on it (actually the ONLY number on it) is
GY 79A
310524
The bold letters are cast into the aluminum. The other letters are printed on it in black ink. The numbers are oriented on the throttle exactly the way they are situated above. I was not able to get a clear picture so I hope this helps. If the numbers on yours match these then it is probably an exact fit.

doesnt seem worth it if it only costs $50 to get your throttle body bored when most shops only take a couple hours to a half day to do that.

But what good is more air gonna do without bigger intake runners and a higher lift cam? I mean think about it... you can only shove so much in there during the time the valves are open, and only so much can get down the manifold into the head. I would be willing to bet the existing TB does that. I just don't see what use this is without enlarging everything else along the way to the engine. Just because it can be done, doesn't necessarily mean its worth doing. I doubt it'll do anything on a stock engine, otherwise Honda would have made it bigger.

Easy Boilmaker, funds wont allow everything at once dude. Piece by piece, thats how you build. I wasnt gonna bore out the throttle body and just leave it like that w/out "enlarging" other needed parts. All in due time my friend..
And yea, I got the part from junkyard. You'd be surprise how many totaled Vics are out there

Hey man.. I wasn't trying to be a Jackass... just making sure that you're aware that it's not gonna help much without other work. If you're aware of that then have fun...
