Rep Power: 0 Radio antenna connection locations
Just a bit on why first. I want to connect an mp3/iPod using the radio antenna.
I have a 2006 civic coupe that I plan on connecting an iPod to. I can use a wireless version but the wired connection is better. What I am looking for is a location in the dash where the antenna cable has a connection that I can use other than the back of the radio. Many cars use this now, especially the ones with rear window antennas. On my Pontiac G6 there was one such connection on the driver side at the very end of the dash where you take the trim cover off to begin to remove other dash parts. It was very convenient for that. As you all know to get to the radio in the civic you need to remove a good portion of the dash. Any help I can get would be a big help.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Radio antenna connection locations
The cars don't use a conventional size/style antenna connector.
You better see what adapters are available before you decide to hack into it.
Probably something like these:
But I don't normally deal with these products.....
There is a coupler for the antenna: On a 2 door, it is located immediately behind the connectors for the SRS control unit, on the center hump under the dash, seen from the passengers footwell area. You will probably have to remove the entire center console to find it.
You could probably just buy the OE accessory connector too.
EDIT: Nevermind that. Looks like it was only available for 4 door cars.
