Red face 2006 Honda Civic will not keep running

My dashboard light do not come on, but the radio does. The lights work, but the windows do not. it turns over and starts only for a few seconds. The dash board light do come on sometimes then goes off. What do you think it is?

Which dash lights are you talking about, the illumination lighting or the warning lights?

I might be checking fuses, ignition switch, and see if power is getting to the switch and through the switch, or not.

it turns over and starts only for a few seconds.
Is the green key symbol flashing angrily when it won't stay running?

Thank you for responding ezone. Allthe dashboard lights do not come on. And no it does not flash when I attempt to start it.
KeitP>S> I checked all the fuses and they were fine.

Allthe dashboard lights do not come on.
So the gauge cluster just sits there, completely dark?

Is the car an EX, LX, DX, or what?
Coupe or sedan?

You have headlights that work, and the radio works...What else DOES work?

Windows don't work, and the gauges don't light up? What else does not work?

Check-
Parking/tail lights
Horn
wipers
brake lights
hazard flashers
turn signals
heater fan
heater control panel
anything else electrical that I missed

And no it does not flash when I attempt to start it.
Does the green key symbol come on for 2 seconds when you turn the key on?
Does the green key symbol flash 5 times after you turn the ignition key OFF?

I checked all the fuses and they were fine.
Did you check with a test light or voltmeter, or did you pull them all out and look at them?

Which fusebox did you check?

Do you have a 12v test light, and do you know how to use it?
Do you have a voltmeter, and do you know how to use it?
