Key gets very hot in 2008 Civic ignition

I've noticed this for the past several months. It gets hot even if I drive for only 5 to 10 minutes. Is this cause for concern?

No concern, it is normal. There is an electromagnetic interlock solenoid directly underneath the key area that can get rather warm.

Thank you. If I see blue sparks, should I slow down?
