cd won't go in

I just purchased a 06 Civic EX 2-door. It has the factory radio. I tried putting a CD in but it won't "pull" it in. I pushed eject to make sure it didn't have an old one in. The display says "LOAD CD" when I try to insert it, but doesn't do anything beyond that.

Anyone have any idea what I cand do to fix it?

Thanks!

Re: cd won't go in

Hi there - I know you posted this a month ago but I have the same problem with my 2007 civic hybrid. Dash & stacker are the same in the standard civic.

Pretty well I have been told by the Honda dealer & a stereo place that the stacker is knackered and the unit needs to be replaced. I was hoping it just had a CD stuck in it. Honda quoted $1200 for the 6 stacker alone.
This is a common problem in these cars it turns out.

The cheapest option for me was to buy a whole new unit from someone who has removed theirs and get it installed and hope it lasts long enough to save up for the extremely overpriced facia & aftermarket stereo I would hope to one day install.

What outcome did you end up having?
