Canadian 07 Civic keyless entry

Hi,

Just bought a 07 Civic with keyless entry, except it does not have the remote trunk button on the key like the U.S. cars.

Anyone know the reason for this. Is it as simple as ordering a key from the U.S. and then have it programmed by the dealer. The wiring to the trunk lock is there.

Appreciate it.

Thanks.

Cathy

you sure it's wires and not just a manual cable? 7th gens had a cable for the trunk release, but it wasn't electric.
