Rep Power: 0 2006 ac diagram and info needed
I have a 2006 civic and the ac clutch coil was burned up...I replaced it and noticed there is no power to the new coil. The clutch relay and associated fuses on outside fuse box check out. Are there any inside?
From what I've determined there is no ground signal getting to the clutch relay to activate it .
What I've done is put a Volvo condenser fan and used the notorious Volvo dual fan relay and trigger the fan and the clutch via a ground wire using the hazard button as a switch since its next to the ac switch.....
My only concern is that now the pressure switch is being bypassed and if it gets low or another problem it could activate the blowoff valve or worse...grenade the compressor...
From what I read the circuit goes thru the ecm....well it doesn't seem to be providing the ground signal to the clutch....but why? I have a suspicion it's from a wreck and there's a bad ground but where?
How does the high pressure switch work....there are 3 wires....can anyone explain the circuit to me and a better way to wire it?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

If the PCM cannot get data from that PRESSURE SENSOR, it will never allow the AC clutch relay (along with the radiator fan controls) to turn on.
Put it back the way the factory made it.

I understand it can't get a signal from the pressure sensor, that's why I'm asking how the pressure sensor works because it has 3 wires. What are they and their functions?

It is not a switch.
It's a pressure transducer.
You cannot disconnect nor alter the wiring for it and still expect the engine computer to do what it needs to do without that input.
