2015 Honda Civic EX-L and Coffee

So a few days ago someone decided it would be a great idea to throw hot coffee along my windshield and the hood of my car. I initially washed the coffee off the car and left it at that. However, I looked under the hood of my car today and noticed some brown staining all along the driver's side on the black cases near the battery and deep under and around the cases as far as I can see. As of right now I haven't seen any sort of problems from my car, but I don't like the risks of something happening possibly in the near future, especially because I don't know exactly what coffee may have reached. I tried to ask all of my guy friends but none of them were sure if coffee could have some sort of unforeseen effects. I attached images to ensure you guys know where I'm talking about in my car. Hopefully, coffee isn't as dangerous to the inside of my car as it is to the inside of my stomach...

I don't think it would have any corrosive affect on the plastic. My civic and my old ranger both had pretty heavy coffee stains on the cup holder area but it all cleaned up pretty good without any damage to the interior plastic. I would just wash it down with some dawn and a towel and it should be good to go (looks like you have already).

I'd just use a garden hose on it. Rinse it off.

Don't use a hard direct forceful spray or pressure washer, of course, but you won't hurt anything with a gentle rain in the engine compartment.
