Timing belt blew, fixed it by car won't fire up.

I'm stumped. The Timing tensioner blew up which ripped the timing belt while I was on the highway. I knew there could be engine damage but wanted to try and fix the belt and see what happened. I changed the tensioner, the timing belt, the ignition coil, the distributor cap and rotor. The car still wont start. Fuses are all fine, and once the new belt was on I could turn the crankshaft manually with out any issues. The engine turns over but the car just won't start. What am I missing? I can't figure out whats wrong. Oddly I don't hear the fuel pump when I turn the car to the "on" position but don't see how that could be related. Any ideas would be a big help.

When the belt let go the pistons probably slammed into the valves bending them.

now you need a new engine....or car.....or truck, I guess.

Love your user.....I want a truck as well

uuummm, yeah,

you probably bent alot of valves which means little or no compression,

without good compression your engine is not going to run, or not well anyway,

time for a new cylinder head

Yep, valves are bent. Or open your current one up and replace the valves.

Was it overdue for a timing belt change?

Also make sure that your car is back in time. If you look at the wheel wherre the timing belt is there should be a little arrow or line you need to make sure that they are all the same. Best to piont them all in the up postion than put the belt on. If your car is out of time it will run like crap and or not run at all.
