Power Steering Fluid

Should the power steering fluid be changed? If so how often?

Re: Power Steering Fluid

whatever it gets dark instead of clear/honey color. use a turkey baster to suck out the fluid in the reservoir, put it in a disposable cup so you can measure what you took out, then get a new cup and pour clean oem honda ps fluid til it matches how much you took out. pour it back into the reservoir (it will be over the max line at first, but after you drive the car it will go down to max). you can repeat this a second time after a few driving trips if the fluid is still dark. drain and fill of the reservoir changes 1/2 of the total capacity. be careful not to spill any fluid.

^ agreed. You can also jack the car up and once you replace the fluid you took you turn your wheels through full range of motion..all the way left and right a few times..Or just drive it as mentioned above.
