1998 Honda Civic EX 2000 SI motor and 5 speed trans

Motor/Trans/Suspension/Brakes:

Great on gas. 1998 Civic Ex for sale that is pretty much a 2000 civic Si stock. The car has a nice clean look. Motor B16a , transmission 5 speed were removed from a clean 2000 Civic Si that was rear ended and had 40,000 original miles on it. The previous owner did all the work and I am passing down information. I have put about 8,000 miles on the car for the 2 years that I have owned it. Tranny shifts like it should and the motor runs great. The Check engine light is on. The code shows for one of the o2 sensors malfunctioning, which is pretty much nothing and is mainly a emissions thing from what I have been told. Previous owner told me it just needed a new o2 sensor when I bought it. I later found out that the wires leading to the o2 sensor were missing and hacked. I was going to try replacing the wires and get everything squared away, but I didn’t have the patience and it is not really a must to have an 02 sensor if your county doesn’t require emission testing. Make sure your county doesn’t require emissions if you do not want to try and fix the wires. The car was lowered and it does have a nice lowered look. Car drives smooth, but the ride is rough if you are on a bumpy road, because the car is lowered. Brakes work good and stop on a dime. I get 30-33 MPG on gas and I always pumped premium, which is recommended for the Si B16a motor.

Exterior:

This car is not a show car, but has potential. Makes a great daily driver. The front of the car has a 99-00 Si front. The previous owner replaced it to complete the Si look, but never ended up painting it. I never bothered to paint the front because it is black like the rest of the car. The front is a flat black, because it is not painted. I did run over a HUGE raccoon this past summer and the bumper does have a minor vertical crack on the bottom part which I ziptied together and should be fine. view last pic …or you can buy a new bumper and paint the front. Nice thing about this car is that the parts are dirt cheap and it’s easy to work on. The Original black paint on the rest of the car does shine nice. There are quite a few small minor dings and some scratches if you look for them. There are Nitto NT 450’s with 5,000 miles that are great tires and are not cheapies. Car does have a resonator which is not a quite one, but it is not loud like most I have heard.

Interior:

Is clean for its age. Power Locks, Power Windows, Nice functioning Sunroof. Heat blows nice and hot. No cracks in the dash. Original radio is still in its place. A/c was removed when the motor was swapped, but I do have the unit which comes with the car if you want to put it back in. The cruise control was also removed and I have that too. There are a couple cigarette burns on the back seat. The cluster came out of an integra I believe and it is not the original cluster therefore I am not sure how many miles are on the body. The current cluster is not original. Therefore the title reads exempt for mileage.

Like I mentioned before, this is not a show car and it does have its flaws, but it would make a nice daily driver or a nice project car. It is a sharp car and it does get compliments. If you have any questions feel free to ask. It has a Clear Title.
