Hi, for sale is a fully REBUILT Honda D16Y5 engine. This was pulled from my friends 98’ Civic HX Manual. (This engine had absolutely ZERO damage or significant wear when disassembled. It was from a properly maintained family owned car. The rebuild process and parts list is below.)

Engine Serial: D16Y5 (1HGEJ712WL004826)
The engine has been FULLY REBUILT with a full OEM-spec “EVERGREEN” rebuild kit. To complement these new parts the cylinder head was professionally skimmed, hot tanked, and given a touch of new paint. Along with this the block was cleaned on the outside.The full rebuild was done along the manufacturer’s (dealer’s) procedure. Every part that was reused was cleaned before reassembly. The new piston rings were clocked correctly. The cylinder head was fully rebuilt (valve stems were not knocked out). All valves lapped in. The complete v-tec rocker assembly was disassembled, inspected, and reassembled. The engine block was completely stripped and the cylinders honed. The new pistons and wrist pins were professionally installed on the cleaned connecting rods. The entire engine was rebuilt using assembly lube and bearings gap-checked with plastigage. The timing is set correctly with the new timing belt. The Engine has no fluids. Below is the full parts list and terms of sale. Other Remanufactured D16Y5’s are incredibly more expensive and also lack components such as: (oil pan, valve cover, timing cover, crank position&temp sensors, motor mount, crank pulley, oil strainer, distributor, spark plugs&wires, filter etc.) Everything that is on the engine (see pic 1) is sold with the engine (no stand). There is NO WARRANTY on this Engine. This rebuild was done very meticulously and I have pictures of every step, as well as recipes for all the parts.
