Rep Power: 0 FS: 1st gen Carroll Shelby rims, 13x5.5
Hey all,
New here, but I'm a regular on the VWvortex forum (same username).
I picked up these wheels years ago for my Mk1 Rabbit, but it doesn't look like they're going to fit over my big brake kit. So I'm very, VERY reluctantly putting them up for sale. $450 + shipping, OBO.
Optional accessory direct from Shelby Tuning back in the day... mock 3-piece rims in 4x100, 5.5 x 13". These are brand spankin' new, in the box, they've been sitting on a shelf for 25 years.
INCLUDED:
- 4 rims
- 4 centre caps (new, CS logo)
- lug nuts (will verify how many, should be 16)
This is CS part # 853 5002, and says "Chrysler Kit" on the box; originally made for the 4-bolt Omni GLH crowd. From the stamps on the back, it looks like year-of-manufacure is '84, but I could be wrong. Can send close-ups to anyone who's interested. I've seen these on a 1st gen Civic, and they looked the ****. I'm sure some of you may already be familiar with them.
The wheels have NOT been cleaned up in the attached pictures; that's with 25 years of dust. I can clean one up with some wheel polish, but I wanted buyers to see what I was starting with.
Email or reply in the thread with any questions, and/or any pix you want to see. Like I said, price is $450 + shipping, OBO - these are showpieces. Lowballers will be politely ignored.
