Tein Basics-Gauging interest
I am thinking about selling my Basics, I am not sure yet, but wanted to gauge what kind of intrest there would be at $400 shipped to anywhere in the US (sorry not Alaska or Hawaii). They have been on the car for about 3 years and have around 35K miles on them. I just took them off this winter, cleaned them up, completely repainted them with the tein green, anti-seized all of the threads, and spent $30 to replace the rubber washers that sit between the springs and spring seats. I took my time with the paint and they look like new. They are on the car so I can't post up pics.

if there in good condition after you repaired them... and the shocks are still good after the washer's are replaced... I'd just wanna see pictures. Thats a really good price
Re: Tein Basics-Gauging interest
The handled really good, infact I am taking it out tomorrow for the first time this year on the RT-615s. If I keep the Basics I am putting stiffer springs in the rear, but I may go with something a bit more adjustable like a set of Flex. If I stay with the Basics I am going to be switching to a set of PIC next year when they come out with a model for our car.
As far as the condtion of the shocks they are great, the washer that I replaced was not internal it is just a rubber stopper that sits between the springs and the spring seats, it was begining to wear out. I will try to pull off a tire or two and take some pics.

Well, sorry guys right now I think that I will keep them for one more year and then go with PICs. This car is setup better than I can drive it so I cannot justify a new suspension. I have came to the conclusion that my $ is better spent on seat time and tires because they will need replaced with the added seat time.
