if the 05 vp used the same clusters as the 01-02 clusters then yes it would be direct plug and play. Im not exactly sure what the 05 vps have so i cant be certain.

ill do 50, i have an ex so i dont even know if it will work. I did hear that people can scam mileage by putting mileage on that cluster cause it only records the mileage on the cluster its using correct? and do u know if it works plug nplay for ex?

^01-02 dx/lx/ex and 04-05 dx/vp are all the same, harness wise, so yeah it will work.

What can be done to reset the odometer? Does this need to be done by a Honda dealer?

Yeah a honda dealer will do it for you, they will check the actual milage that is stored in your ecu and set the odometer on the cluster to match
