Rep Power: 0 ^ dru106 Yes, I think you are just 1 step before hooking up the mirrors and make them folded. You probably be able to buy one off from eBay. However, I think the switch is nothing more than a one-way switch. You may consider using any switch from Radio Shack. OR get the mirror switch from Canadian EL.
Look very carefully at Telly's EL, they share the same switch as those JDM Civics with folding mirrors. The additional button functions as the heated mirrors switch instead of folding the mirrors. Therefore, you may consider buying the switch from Canadian Honda. I don't know if there is any different between heated mirrors switch and folding mirrors switch though. Anyway, I am now working on the circuit. Will post pic later.

Rep Power: 0 Ok ppl! Here is the first look of my prototype circuit for the mirrors. Still in progress, so please pardon for the loose wires. I am not good at electric circuit, if you have any sugguestion to simplifing the current circuit, you are welcome to give me some advice.
Some components include:
556 dual timer IC
5A relays

Rep Power: 0 Yes, I can post the circuit here but I still have to test it out first. The circuit works but I need to find out which wires to tap. Don't worry! I will keep you guys posted.
ALRIGHT!!!! I finally sold the last set of 03 tails today!!!!! Thanks Em_isis_SD! Your ride is HOT!!!!

Rep Power: 0 Hahaaa! I am so sorry! I just able to work on the circuit an hour a day. Anyway, I disassembled the mirror switch and figured out there weren't any 12v input nor output fed directly into it. So, I decided not to mess with the existing switch for power, instead, I am gonna get the 12v from the cig lighter (actually more convenient!) The circuit works fine and I will take the time to put it up here.

Rep Power: 271 hey so with that circut board and relays the powerfolding function will work?
man if so can someone make me one and if you can civicsky, can you get me a set of power folding mirrors? hehehe man cuz my edm mirrors wont be as cool as your POWER folding ones!! hahaha im serious too!! haha

Rep Power: 0 ^^ Yup! That should be easy consider using all OEM parts. But for those who hasn't got the OEM switch and relay, the circuit I made should be able to solve the problem for your mirrors! Following are more pic of the prototype. The pots are to adjust the timing. Time can be set between 2 seconds and 3.5 seconds by the 100k ohm pot.

Rep Power: 0 Hmm.... I just tried the circuit... it doesn't work!!! The 556 seems to be too sensitive to the changing current. So please everyone hold on to it first!

Rep Power: 260 momentary just means it returns to original position after you let go of the switch.
it goes two ways then springs back to off when you let go of it.
you still have to hold it til it folds all the way.

Rep Power: 0 ^^ hahaa... me too!!! or even more than that because I have been doing a lot of trouble shooting. That's why I keep saying that is just the prototype. Don't spend money on it yet.
According to what you said about the Momentary Toggle, the circuit I created does the same thing as well. The mirrors fold in or out as long as you hold the switch. <--- which is not right because the 556 supposed to serve as a timer which controls the power to the mirrors. For example, if I set the pot to 78k ohm and press the button once, the 556 would trigger the Relay #1 and provides 2 second of electricity to the mirror motors. That's the whole point of having that timer IC. However, now the problem is that the motors are drawing too much current from the source and lowering the voltage. When there is a change of voltage in the circuit, the 556 shuts off and, therefore, no power is going through the relay. Now, I am trying to seperate the circuit from the relays. (simply connecting a seperate 9V battery to the circuit would do the trick!). I will try it after work!

i just tried the momentary toggle
it works fine
also we have to make sure the wires going to the mirrors are the same length for both left and right
the passenger side wire was about 4 inches shorter than the driver side and it was folding about .3 seconds faster than the driver side.
i decided to use a non momentary switch for now and hook up the 12v to a switched source this way i can leave the switch on open when i leave the car so they will unfold when i start it.
however our goal here is to get them to do this on its own.
