I'm really not sure if it'll fit the 2005 civics. I don't see why it wouldn't, but you'd have to check on that. As for installation, it's VERY simple. The hardest part would be to take out the center console. Other then that, as long as you have the right tools, you'll be able to switch it out within 30 mins.
