Brake bulb replacement
Brake bulb replacement
Hello, I'm trying to replace the brake bulb in my sister's 2018 Civic 4 door. Her manual just says 21 watts with no trade number I'd guess you call it like maybe "168" or "921" which is what I'm use to
Is there a specific number I should be looking for? I don't want to got to Honda, trying to save her a couple bucks. Thanks!

Re: Brake bulb replacement
Usually the auto parts store will have a book/computer to tell you the bulb number. Or go to like Sylvania.com or rockauto to look it up. But I believe 7440 is correct, unless you need a dual filament bulb

Re: Brake bulb replacement
My 2018 hatch accepted a 7440/7443 LED just fine for the brake bulb. But yeah, I get what you mean. The user manual is all sorts of funky when it comes to what bulbs the 10thgen uses.

Re: Brake bulb replacement
Well then. There's a difference between the sedan and the hatch of which I was unaware. I'll see if I can find a bulb guide that actually says what it's supposed to be
edit: apparently it's an 1156 (a.k.a. BA15S) bulb.
