Rep Power: 0 A/C Compressor Won't Turn On
Hey guys,
I just replaced my A/C compressor and charged the system. It's holding pressure and there doesn't seem to be any leaks. I can't get the compressor to turn on unless I manually give it power (so I know the compressor actually works). There's a relay in line that I've also replaced. Does anyone have any steps I can take to troubleshoot this? I heard that behind the glove box there's a thermostat to tell the compressor to kick on? Any help would be huge. Thanks!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: A/C Compressor Won't Turn On
Many things could stop compressor operation.
I'd begin with a wiring diagram and a voltmeter and an understanding of what it takes for the system to operate.....
Test in the compressor clutch relay socket to see if there are two powers and two grounds present when trying to run the AC.
If one of those is missing that will lead to the next troubleshooting step.
The wiring diagram leads the way.
