Radio cycling through presets on own

I have a 2006 Honda Civic coupe dxg and over the past year the radio has started changing preset radio stations all by itself. It will also change from fm to am to aux & continuously cycle through. I'll have periods of time with no issues then it will just start cycling. Also the radio when it does stay on one station will just go silent. When I listen to music through aux there is very loud static noises and I have changed audio cables. What the heck is wrong with my stereo system and can I fix this somehow without replacing the entire sound system?

DXG, you must be in Canada.

Sounds like the radio has lost its mind or maybe has stuck buttons.
Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes to do a 'reboot'? (make sure you have the unlock code handy if it has one)

Swap in a good used radio?
