2014 civic (steering wheel buttons cant fast forward through music?)

I'm specifically using soundcloud on my android phone which is connected to Bluetooth.

Does anyone else have this problem of being unable to skip tracks using the fast forward and back buttons on their steering wheel?

I don't know for sure but try holding the forward or back button on for a few seconds instead of momentarily.

I'm reading through the manual and it saids these buttons can be used to change tracks but I've tested with soundcloud and other music apps but it doesn't seem to work.

Anyone have this issue?

I've tried the long hold but it doesnt work either.

I seem to have figured it out for anyone wondering.

I am using a custom rom and this seems to be the culprit. I've tried other custom roms which work but this particular custom rom...
