Headlight not working after replacement

Hi All,

A couple of days ago the driver-side headlight (low-beam) on my 2014 Civic went out. I bought a replacement and installed it today. However, when I turn on the lights, that headlight still won't come on.

Is this something more than just a dud headlight?

Thanks.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

2014 Civic
That should have been covered under warranty.

Unless you meant 2004.

Then I suppose you could have got a bad bulb, you could have put the old bad one back in by mistake, you could have wiring problems, bad socket, or blown fuse, or any of several possible causes that would keep a headlight form working.

I did mean 2004. My apologies. I haven't thought to check the fuses. Would a blown fuse only keep one light out?

Sure. Maybe.

Do both high beams work?

Both hi-beams do work.

OK then the two fuses should be ok, and the headlight relays should both be ok.

That leaves a lot of wiring, a ground, connectors, and the bulb as possible suspects.

A wiring diagram, a voltmeter or test light, and some sleuthing could solve this.
