Cluster Color

Hello, I am a newly owner of a 03' Honda Civic LX, after checking the web to learn more about this car I noticed some of the Civics have a Blue ring around the cluster as while mine has a Red one is this normal? The service engine light flashes when I turn the car on, so I thought that maybe if the car needs to be serviced the cluster turns from blue to red. Excuse my ignorance if it is a simple thing like the year it was made, I have never owned a Civic before.

Thanks,

Nah, mine is like that too. I think the Civic years 2004 and beyond got the blue gauges.

Re: Cluster Color

Early/late are different, coupe/sedan are different.

IIRC, coupe/sedan is the color difference.

The service engine light flashes when I turn the car on,
Which light flashes?
The Check Engine Light, or the Maint. Req'd light? Big difference.

Your owners manual tells how to reset the maintenance light.

Check Engine Light flashing while running is bad.
