check antenna

I tried to activate the XM radio in my new 2013 Civic EX-L with navigation and it will only say check antenna. What should I do? There is nothing in the manual for this.

Re: check antenna

The XM has an antenna problem.
Return to the dealer for warranty.
Simple.

The XM should already be activated AND WORKING with the 90 day (?) free trial. I'd wait until that runs out before paying for it.

Re: check antenna

Thanks, I will call the service department. Just thought there might be a fix I could perform at home.

Re: check antenna

It was an unplugged cable in the trunk. All is well. Thanks for the response.

Re: check antenna

I'm curious because I haven't had a chance to see where the wiring is run.

Was this a factory build error (problem), or was this something you could have inadvertently bumped with luggage or groceries or something?

Re: check antenna

I hadn't used the trunk for anything so it had to be a factory error. The tech said that the cable just wasn't fully plugged in. It is working great now.
